Family Support

The Family Support Unit managed by Debbie Einhorn includes the Child and Family Connections program which is the system point of entry for Birth to Three Early Intervention Services for families who have infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. Respite services are offered to provide parents with short term relief from daily care-giving of their family member with a disability. Summer Day Camp opportunities are offered each year in Effingham and Richland counties.

Community Support Systems also provides support to Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center, which offers information, materials, support, individual consultation and training on topics related to special education to parents of children with any type of disability from birth to age 22.
