Summer Day Camp

We really look forward to the Community Support Systems Summer Camp each summer. Camp opens up all kinds of experiences for our daughter that she would otherwise not get to take part in."

- Participant Parent

Summer Day Camps are held each year in Effingham and Richland Counties. The camps are open to students ages 7-21 who receive special education services at school. Experienced and trained staff accompany the campers on planned outings and activities.

Camp activities include picnics, swimming, movies, story-telling, bowling, music, arts & crafts, games and other special events. Lunch is provided free of charge each day and there is no charge to attend the camp, although registration is required. The only cost to families is the transportation to and from the designated pick-up/drop-off locations.

A special thanks to the Teutopolis and Olney Knights of Columbus Councils, HF Productions, the Carrie Winters Trust, ADM Cares, Ameren and HMAC for donations that support Summer Day Camp.
