All Babies Can (ABC) Program

The All Babies Can (ABC) Program, funded through the Illinois State Board of Education, works with single parents, parents of premature infants, teen parents, and low-income families who have children ages birth to three or are expecting a child. Services are provided to families in Crawford, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland Counties.

Services Offered

  • Free developmental screenings to determine if a child is experiencing a delay in development
  • Home visits twice a month to share activities that promote a child’s development
  • Family enrichment activities where families come together for fun and educational experiences
  • Group meetings on topics such as potty-training, safety, nutrition, etc.
  • Literacy events that promote the enjoyment of reading to children
  • A lending library of books, DVDs and toys
  • Linkage to community resources

The ABC Children's Program staff are trained and certified as Parents As Teachers Parent Educators.
